The studio has many opportunities to learn to sew in November. Here are some of those offerings:
Beginning sewing - (Sewing The Basics)
Monday Morning: 9:30 – noon, $125; Dates: 11/2,9,16,23
Tuesday evening: 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm, $125; Dates 11/3,10,17,24
Thursday morning: 9:30 – noon, $125; Dates 11/5, 12, 19, 12/3
Intermediate Sewing -
Thursday evening: 6:30 – 9:00 ; $125; Dates 11/5, 12, 19, 12/3
Wednesday mornings: 9:00 – noon; $125; Dates 11/4, 11, 18, 12/2
Here is what we cover in these classes:
Sewing The basics – Sewing machine use, straight seams, pivoted corners, clipping seams, fusibles, finishing seams, reading patterns, layout, cutout, use of commercial sewing patternsl
Intermediate Sewing – Darts and Zippers, buttons and button
holes, encased seams,shirring, (geared toward the project you choose)
Embroidery and Monogramming – using your own
monogramming/embroidery machine, shortening the waist, blind hemming,
taking in the hip
